For Older Adults

Older Adulthood can be a time of creative growth and development.  It can be described by an attitude of spirituality, rather than a specific age group.  All of life is a gift from our loving Creator and this stage of life offers new identity in understanding self-worth and the vital contributions an older adult offers the church.

 

L.I.F.E. Group was developed to address the needs and desires of retired members in our community.  Through weekly meetings, they are in close contact with one another and provide support.  Meetings serve as an opportunity to get informed about issues that effect the lives of seniors, as well as the community. 

 

Each meeting begins with devotions, prayer and singing - and, of course, a good cup of coffee.  A member of our community is invited as a guest speaker to share their interesting life experience or expertise at each meeting.  Occasionally, the group ventures out on a day trip. 

 

This group provides worship service to nursing homes and assisted living facilities in our area.  They are also a part of our Hospitality Ministry by delivering cookies to our New Visitors.
