Nursery Care

We cherish the time you allow us to spend with your little one each week.  By receiving consistent care of basic needs within a loving environment, we hope your children will come to understand that God cares for them and provides for their needs.

What We Provide

A staffed Nursery is available for newborns through 3 years of age on Sunday mornings from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. and Wednesday Evenings while classes are in session.  Child care is also available upon request for other church functions or small group activities by notifying the group leader in advance.

Our Nursery staff wears name tags to identify themselves and follows the established procedures in our "Safe Sanctuary" Policy.

Our Nursery is well stocked with many necessities and is a safe, clean, vibrant, nurturing environment for your child.  Disenfecting is done after every use for all toys and community surfaces.  Carpets are cleaned regularly.  We also enforce wellness requirements for attendance (stated below).  The Toddler play area is separate from the area for Crawlers and infants are comfortably accommodated.  Age appropriate snack and drink are provided.  A toddler restroom adjoins the Nursery.  Changing tables are available in the Nursery and the handicap restroom next to the Nursery.

How Parents Can Help

We appreciate your cooperation in the following ways:
  • Remain at the door of the Nursery when leaving or picking up your child.  As a rule, only scheduled Volunteers should be entering the Nursery.
  • Sign your child in at the door (be sure to identify where in the church you will be on this sheet), obtain a pager and a tag.  The person picking up your child must have this tag.
  • Provide a bag with items your child might need, such as diapers, Pull-Ups, bottles, sippy cup and change of clothing.  Please mark items with your child's name or they may not get returned to your child's bag.
  • Do not bring personal toys or snack foods into the Nursery (security items as necessary).
  • Do not to leave the church grounds without notifying the Nursery Attendant.
  • Do not bring your sick child.  If your child currently has, or has had in the last 24 hours, any of these symptoms, we request you do not bring them into the nursery:  fever, diarrhea, vomiting, persistent cough, colored nasal drainage, discharge from eyes, rash or other form of breakout.  For the sake of other children in the nursery, if your child exhibits any of these symptoms, they will be brought to you.
  • Bring to the Nursery Attendant's attention any physical limitations, food restrictions or special needs of your child.
  • Discourage older siblings from "hanging out" in the Nursery.  Older Youth who would like to help in the nursery may submit a request to Pastor Paul for approval and are required to attend the same training as the adult Volunteers.
  • Pick up your child immediately upon the conclusion of worship service, class or group activity you attend.
