Youth DiscipleshipTo understand who God is, you have to learn who Jesus is. You learn about Jesus' teachings and his relationship to God by reading the Bible. You'll need the help of others to understand what you're reading and make that connection with your own life. At Wesley we've assembled a circle of people who are not only willing to help you, they want to help you and made it a priority in their life - it's that important. So, we create opportunities for you to come with your questions because we know God offers far more than you realize.
We provide an opportunity for you to be with friends, or to make new ones, who share more than just common interests - they also have the same values as you. It's a setting where you learn from their experiences and questions, and they learn from yours. It all happens by following the directions that God so lovingly provided for us in the Bible. Word by word, we're told how to live our life, which turns to take, and we gain momentum as our hearts and minds are filled with the energy of God's Promises.
Sunday Discipleship OpportunitiesOur Youth Group for students in grades 6 through 12 meets on Sunday evenings as scheduled.
Please see the Children's Discipleship page for children up to 6th Grade.
Wednesday DiscipleshipThe Wednesday Program offers something for Middle School students as part of JC903: Discover The Path. Students will grapple with real-life issues they face from a Biblical perspective from 5:45 to 7:15 p.m.
Come and join us from October through May. Rev. Becky Schofield Motter is the contact person for JC903 program.
A Community Meal is available from 5:15 to 6:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Everyone is invited to join us.
Senior High Cell Group meets at 7:30 p.m. at someone's home. Cell Group is not a study group. It's a small discussion group that talks about matters of faith and faithfulness. Sharing experiences is helpful when dealing with difficulties in school, athletics, the workplace, church or at home. The group also encourages one another to identify self-worth through God, not by the judgment of others. Kurt Plouck is the contact person for Cell Group. |
